The Sistine Chapel. Michelangelo's Secret Code

Even if you see nothing else in Rome, you can still say that you managed to embrace the immense: the Sistine Chapel is a cosmos, incredibly contained the entire history of mankind from creation to the Day of Judgment.

For the past five centuries, a conclave has been held within its walls. The fateful choice of the Pope for the Catholic Church is made under the frescoes of Michelangelo, on which, relying on the prophets and Sibyls, the creation of our world, the birth of man, the fall, which plunged humanity into the abyss of sin, and a new hope for salvation unfold.

In the greatest creation of the Renaissance, the artist amazingly mixes Christian tradition and Kabbalah, philosophy and mysticism, hiding in his images the keys of knowledge of the Eternal Truth.

From the altar wall looks on the incoming Jesus, strict and just, administering justice. Around it is an incredible circle of merging bodies of saints, angels and sinners, in which the great Michelangelo hid the face of God.

As we glide through the frescoes, we experience all the pain and bliss of our world, in order to turn our eyes to the Truth at the end.

Nota: Our tour will begin with a visit to the Pio-Clementino Museum, where there are sculptures of Apollo of Belvedere, Laocoon and Tors of Belvedere, which had a huge influence on the style of frescoes by Michelangelo, then through the Pontifical Galleries we will pass to the Stanza della Senatura, a hall where Raphael in four frescoes on the walls expressed the spirit of his time, giving the keys to understanding of the ideas of Michelangelo and finally begin to reveal for himself the secrets of the great genius hidden in the figures in the frescoescoes of the Capella.
