Villa Borghese Park

Villa Borghese, Roma, Italia

Description:

Villa Borghese Park is the most beautiful place in Rome. The park is one of the largest territories of the Italian capital, its area is 80 hectares. The park is built in the traditional English style, which pleases the eye of many Romans and guests of the eternal city.

The park was laid out in the XVII century on the site of former vineyards by Cardinal Shipione Borghese. The trademark of the park was the presence of antique statues in it. Those who came here especially admired the sculpture "Borgez wrestler", which fell to the liking of Napoleon Bonaparte.

Today, the park houses several familiar Roman museums such as the Borghese Gallery, where you can see the largest collection of the Borghese family. In addition, the National Museum of Villa Julia presents the world's largest exhibition of Etruscan art.
