Centre Montemartini Museum

Centrale Montemartini, Via Ostiense 106, 00154 Roma, Italia.

About the company:

The Montemartini Center is perhaps the most extraordinary museum dedicated to antiquity.

The museum is located in the old Montemartini power plant. It was founded at a time when the palaces of the Capitol were being closed for renovation.

The main idea of interior design is to combine classical Roman sculpture with real elements of power plant equipment. An unusual background for works of art allows you to emphasize the individuality of each sculpture and distinguish it from others.

As for the composition, the statues are located by belonging to a temple or complex.

The most famous exhibits of the museum are the statue of Venus Esquiline and sculptures from the facade of the temple of Apollo Sosia.

Temporary exhibitions are also held at the museum.
