Rome Ciampino Airport

Description:

Rome-Ciampino Airport was opened almost a hundred years ago, in 1916, and today is one of the oldest operating airports not only in Italy, but throughout the world.

Ciampino International Airport is located 12 km southeast of the center of Rome, just behind the Grand District Road. Today, it specializes mainly in servicing flights of European low-cost airlines (Ryanair, Easyjet, Blue Air). These are usually domestic or charter flights.

Passengers wishing to get from the airport to Rome are transported by special Terravision buses to Termini railway station in the center of Rome. It is very convenient that bus tickets can be purchased in advance directly on board the aircraft, although they are also sold at the airport ticket office. Travel time is 40 minutes. Take into account that at night buses do not run, so if you arrive after 24.00, you have to either wait until morning, or use a taxi.

The airport has everything that is supposed to be in this kind of place. There is a cafe, information desk, baggage packaging, equipped parking for cars. A whole gallery of shops (clothing, leather goods, books, electronics, travel bags, Swarovski crystals) will be a real bailout if you did not have time to buy gifts and souvenirs in advance.

Wi-Fi internet is available throughout the airport.
