National Museum of Cinematography in Turin
Mole Antonelliana Via Montebello 20, Torino
About the company:
The National Museum of Cinematography is located in the Turin Mole Antonelliana, the tallest of the brick buildings in Europe (167.5 m), built by the famous Italian architect Alessandro Antonelli in 1863 on behalf of the Jewish community as a synagogue. But the construction was not completed due to lack of funds, after which the Jewish community of Turin transferred the unfinished house to the city in 1877. The construction of the building was completed only in 1900.
At the top of the building there is an observation deck, from where you can admire the panorama of the city.
Currently, the collection of the museum is a huge number of devices for displaying films, slides, drawings and printed products, photographic materials, film posters, films and books on film art.
The National Museum of Cinematography has repeatedly held film festivals, the most prestigious of which is the Turin Festival.
The Turin Museum is much more than just a museum. Its visitors are researchers, actors, authors, and at the same time viewers, who will be remembered for a long time for its charming atmosphere of a big film festival.
