Mysteries and Mysteries of the Angkor Kingdom
Description:
The temple complex of Angkor is the largest religious complex in the world, the best preserved to this day. Angkor Wat is the largest religious Hindu center, originally dedicated to the god Vishnu, but later became Buddhist. Located in the southeastern sector of the city of Yashowarman I (now central Angkor), it was built by King Suryavarman II of the early 12th century. This temple became a symbol of Cambodia, depicted on its national flag. Today we are waiting for a fascinating dive into the past, we will plunge into the lives of kings, try to solve the mysteries of that era. Our walk will begin with the ancient capital of Jiyavarman VII Angkor Thom, open the secret veil of the temples of Bayon and Ta Prohm, and of course visit the legendary Angkor Wat. The modern name, Angkor Wat, means "Temple City" and this is perfectly justified, as it was the greatest and most sublime of all Khmer temples. Here we will walk through the longest gallery of the temple and enjoy the beautiful stone carvings, count the beautiful heavenly apsars, visit the gallery of 1000 Buddhas, where anyone can get a magical amulet from Buddhist monks, we will listen to the vibrations in the Echo room and of course climb to the third level of the temple, where only the king and high-ranking clergymen walked.
If you wish, we can easily supplement the route with an ascent to the top of the temple of Ta Keo (unfortunately, the temple was not completed, as the death of King Jayavarman IV prevented this, and it was not destined to become the largest temple - a mountain), as well as a visit to the distant temples of Angkor (Pre Khan, Ta Som, the ancient Nik Pin, Pre Rup temple, built of brick in the early 10th century, and East Mebon - the central structure of the former East Barai reservoir). Bantey Srey – Translated as “The Citadel of Women”, a beautiful 10th-century temple complex made of pink sandstone. The original name of the temple means “Great God of the Triple World” and is dedicated to the great Shiva, located 25 km from Siemrip. The miniature masterpiece is made of pink sandstone, similar to the one made of the ancient city of Petra in Jordan.
You can independently plan any route today, and we will help make the tour unforgettable and pleasant!
