Living Water. Kulen Plateau (basic)
Description:
A historical adventure with elements of mysticism and shamanism, during which we will see:
The altar-river of all Khmer emperors is the 1000 lingam river, a 15th-century Buddhist shrine, the former Khmer Rouge camp and the alleged headquarters of dictator Pol Pot, a 25-meter-high waterfall of holy water, and an incredibly tasty coffee in a Khmer bench. The canvas of nature on which the rituals of antiquity and the bloodbath of recent Cambodian history unfolded. This tour is like a small life where everything is connected!
Details of the program Plateau Kulen beckons with its secrets, and there are plenty of them hidden there. The long road will brighten up forays into the villages, where jam is brewed from palm juice and homemade rice noodles are made. I will tell you the colonial and revolutionary periods, and all the presuppositions of dramatic events will become clear to you. You will find out why the river 1000 lingams were needed and where the Pol Pot trails lead. What does the forest shaman sell and what was the size of the Buddha’s foot? And why is the water in this place "living" and where is its source?
After all the discoveries, we will dive into a 25-meter waterfall and enjoy an incredible coffee. The hostess does not open the recipe secret, but does not refuse an additional portion.
Attention! This tour is basic, and Plateau Kulen is a treasure chest! If you are ready to learn more, write to me about it and we will provide you with two tours of the Kulen Plateau, which will be one of the brightest experiences in your journey, believe me, other guides will not be able to offer you this. Just look at the pictures and you will understand!
PS: It is almost always possible to see temples and nature when Chinese tourists are not there. Because of this, the tour time is assigned together with the guide to ensure a comfortable viewing.
