Historic City of Melakka - UNESCO World Heritage Site
Description:
Malacca is the most historic state in Malaysia. It was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008.
Malacca has been counting down its history since the beginning of the XV century, when the ruler of Parameshwara (Sumator prince and founder of Melaka) under the onslaught of the Sultan of Majapahit (the last inducted kingdom in Indonesia in the 13-15th century) left the territory of modern Singapore and settled in a fishing village on the shore of the strait.
