Agadir

Sousse Massa National Park

Description:

Agadir lies in the green and fertile Sousse Valley. From it to the south for about 60 km stretches the Sousse Massa National Park, the name of which was given by two rivers: Sousse and Masa, flowing into the Atlantic Ocean. Lagoons formed by the mouths of rivers are habitats of rare birds. On the territory of the reserve are Egyptian mongoose, Eurasian wild boars, gazelles. Also behind the fence you can meet jackals, red foxes, wild cats, red-necked ostriches, oryxes. Especially many bald ibis - a symbol of ancient Egypt. Small colonies of bald ibis are found in Turkey, Morocco, Syria and Algeria. The landscape is very diverse. There are rocks, sand dunes, agricultural farms. In winter you can see a lot of flamingos, who chose salt shoals in the lagoons.
