Jose Clemente Orozco House Museum
Aurelio Aceves, 27, Guadalajara, Mexico
About the company:
The José Clemente Orozco House Museum has been operating since November 1951. The house was built in 1948 by architect Gonzalez Gort zar. The house was designed by Edmund Ponce Adam.
The house was at the same time the residence and workshop of the outstanding monumental artist Jose Clemente Orozco. The only strict requirement of the artist to the architect was that there was a lot of light in the house, so very large windows were cut in the house.
The museum consists of three rooms, each of which is lined with the works of the great artist. Basically, the collection consists of numerous drawings, photographs and graphic works.
The museum is coordinated by the Institute of Culture. The museum has developed excursions and often hosts concerts, conferences, book presentations.
