Lake Talman
Description:
Between the somons of Numreg and Talmen of the Zavkhan aimak, in the western part of Mongolia there is a weakly salted Talman Lake. Its picturesque shores, combining sandy dunes and centuries-old coniferous forests, attract tourists with their fish places.
The lake is quite deep - about 30 meters. It has several small islands that can be reached by boat. The lake is poorly mineralized and contains many types of fish.
Local nomadic tribes still keep the legend that huge water dragons live at the bottom of the lake. Modern cryptozoologists, skeptical of all kinds of mythology, found here the remains of ancient underwater creatures, which are difficult to attribute to any known classification.
