About the company:
The Ulaanbaatar History Museum is located in the city of the same name, Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. It is located in the Bayanzurkh district. The museum of history and reconstruction of the capital of Mongolia is dedicated. It was built by the Buryat Tsogto Badmazhapov for personal use in the early XX century.
In the following years, this building managed to visit the combined arms government headquarters, where the Central Committee of the Mongolian Communist Party met and D. Sukhe-Batar worked, as well as the Embassy of the TNR. After that, the building was given to a museum. But first the museum was dedicated to Sukhe Bator, and then Choibalsan.
It was only in 1956 that the first step was taken to the current theme of the museum – an exhibition dedicated to the history of Ulaanbaatar was opened. In 1960 the exhibition became permanent and the museum was reclassified. Since 1970, the museum building is an architectural monument of Mongolia of the early XX century. There are about 4 thousand exhibits in the museum’s collection, including historical, archaeological and geological artifacts, various documents, drawings and schemes, books, photographs, audio and video recordings, as well as many other exhibits that are dedicated to the city of Ulaanbaatar – its history and its present time.
