Manshire Museum
located 5 km on foot northeast of Zuunmod
About the company:
The Manshir Museum is located on the territory of the monastery of the same name, located in the valley of Bogdo Khan in the mountains of Aymaka Tuv.
The museum is dedicated to the history of the monastery, one of the most important Buddhist centers in Mongolia, which survived the communist revolution in 1937. Unfortunately, there is only one active temple. The rest of the monastery is in poor condition.
In the museum you can see a huge two-ton bronze cauldron, preserved since 1726, the cartography of the temples of the monastery, their photographs, as well as several attributes of Buddhist religious art: dance masks Tsam and musical horns made of human hip bone.
