The head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov is waiting for the start of group visa-free trips to Iran and China August 1st.
Tour operators will be able to organize visa-free tours for organized groups of travelers within the framework of intergovernmental agreements between Russia and China and Russia and Iran. Travel is possible for 15 days in groups from 5 to 50 people.
The head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov said at a meeting on the development of tourism and hospitality with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin: “... we plan to launch the first group visa-free trips of tourists with Iran and China.” We exchanged lists of tour operators, all procedures are completed. And from day to day, we expect that the first groups will come to us, and this will give additional flow.”
The second point is to expand the air traffic. Now direct flights to Russia can fly from more than 30 countries. Together with the Ministry of Transport, we are constantly working on geography within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commissions, the minister added.
Another direction of the Ministry of Economic Development for the start of inbound tourism is to ensure the possibility of non-cash payments for foreigners in Russia.
