Airline "Aeroflot" from September 15 to change the rules of transportation of animals

Under the new rules, passengers can take only one pet, with the exception of kittens and puppies.

“From 15 September, only an adult passenger may carry animals, and only one container with one domesticated pet in the room. The exception is kittens or puppies in an amount of not more than three (in a container) over the age of eight weeks, but not older than six months. They may be carried in the passenger compartment provided that the mass of the animals together with the container does not exceed 8 kg. "

A passenger planning to take a pet with him on a trip is obliged to inform about this when booking and buying an air ticket, by phone of the carrier’s contact center no later than 36 hours before departure. Transportation of animals is carried out only with the consent of the airline, there are restrictions on the number and types of animals transported.

Aeroflot accepts domesticated animals (cats, dogs, birds; dogs of the canine service, as a special type of non-standard baggage with payment at a special rate).

Ferrets, meerkats, feneks, lorises, mini-rabbits, marshmallows are accepted for transportation as a special type of non-standard luggage if they are domesticated animals.

Dogs that belong to potentially dangerous breeds (guard, fighting), are transported only in the luggage compartment, must be reinforced cells.

Dogs belonging to brachycephalic breeds are not accepted for transportation as a special type of non-standard baggage: bulldog (English, French, American), pug, pekingese, rodents (guinea pig, rat, chinchilla), reptiles, arthropods (insects, arachnids, crustaceans), fish and other marine and river inhabitants requiring transportation in water. The airline does not accept wild animals and birds, sick and experimental, as well as animals whose weight together with the container is more than 50 kg.
