Experts note high demand for air tickets in Russia
Demand for domestic flights in Russia has recovered by 88% from last year’s level.
According to experts of the service Tutu, the last few months Russians fly more often than in 2019. According to sales of the service, the demand for air tickets in August and September increased by 23-26% compared to the same months of 2019.
Demand for air tickets for all autumn months is 18% higher than last year’s level.
The most popular flights for autumn (September 1 – November 30) are Moscow – Simferopol flights. Sochi. St. Petersburg. Five in. Anapa and krasnodar.
With departure from St. Petersburg in the top 20 were flights to Simferopol, Sochi, Krasnodar, Kaliningrad.
Average checks on popular domestic destinations decreased significantly compared to last year: this applies to flights from Moscow to Novosibirsk (-36%), St. Petersburg (-35%), Yekaterinburg (-34%).
The Russians took the opportunity to travel to countries with which air communication is open.
Our compatriots expected the opening of air links with Turkey, Belarus, Greece, Egypt. Expectations remain for the resumption of flights to Georgia and Thailand, Cyprus, Israel, Bulgaria, Cuba, Hungary, Croatia, the Dominican Republic.
