How will the cashback program for tours in Russia work in 2022?

The head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova believes that the cashback program for tours in Russia from 2022 will work as it should, only in the low tourist season, in high season it is not required.

This year, in part, cashback worked as an anti-crisis measure, and next year, we are getting a target picture of how cashback should work. And this work is only in low season, in high season it is not expedient and not necessary.”

Until the end of the year, sales of tours with cashback for the low winter season after January 15 will start, but this will not be before November-December.

“This is not yet accurate, we are working on such an opportunity,” said Doguzova, adding that the parameters of the program will remain the same. In the past stages, cashback could be obtained in the amount of 20% when paying for tours and staying in hotels with the partners of the program with the Mir card.

The program of partial refund when buying tours in Russia began in 2020. According to the results of the first two stages of the sale, tours worth 6.5 billion rubles were sold. The remaining funds were transferred to 2021.

Since the beginning of 2021, Russians have bought travel around the country for 34 billion rubles and received returns for 6.7 billion rubles.
