Every second Russian returns to other countries for local cuisine
Gastrotourism is firmly established in travel: 92% of Russians necessarily try local cuisine. Most often choose national dishes (93%), sweets (45%), exotic (39%) and seafood (37%). One in four begin exploring the city with local coffee or tea.
Often, the love of food returns tourists to their favorite places – every second came at least once for the sake of the kitchen. And tastes take with them: gastro parcels with unusual products like chocolate caviar, honey with truffle or octopus-flavored chips are popular.
According to travelers, the main gastronomic cities of Russia -Kazan (54%) St. Petersburg (52%) Vladivostok (49%) kaliningrad (47%) and mahachkala (45 percent). The top 10 also included Moscow, Murmansk, Vladikavkaz, Petrozavodsk and Sochi.
A personal guide will make the tour really rich: he will show not untwisted tourist points, but places where locals eat, will tell rare specialists and help to bypass the queues in the most popular establishments.
