When are tour operators going to put charters in Dubai?
Tour operators expect to put charters in Dubai In October, prices for holidays in the emirate are likely to remain the same, said a spokeswoman for the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) Irina Tyurina.
Prime Minister Mishustin signed a decree on the resumption of international flights with the UAE (Dubai) with a frequency of 2 flights per week. Aeroflot said it will resume flights to Dubai from September 11, on Fridays and Saturdays.
“Despite the fact that the government of the Russian Federation has only in general terms presented what the air service with the UAE will look like, tour operators are happy that they will be able to start sales.” In the Emirates, the high season starts in autumn, and hoteliers who have lost the main tourist flows have long been waiting for Russians.
According to Tyurina, airlines Flydubai and Emirates promise to clarify the schedule of flights in a couple of days.
“It is understood that, for the time being, it is only the transfer to Dubai Airport (DXB) and not Al Maktoum. The permit also does not apply to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. That is, some charter programs remain in question. But if we draw an analogy with Turkey, then by the season, which begins in the twenties of October, tour operators will be able to lobby charter programs.”
Some tour operators are quite regular flights.
“Dubai had a lot of good and inexpensive regular transportation. Tickets from Moscow and back cost 14 thousand rubles. There is also Flydubai, which flew to a dozen cities in Russia and Air Arabia. Therefore, some tour operators will be able to do without charters.”
According to Tyurina, there is a demand: even at the quarantine, tourists were actively interested in tours to the UAE for October-November, and the resumption of direct flights are waiting in Moscow and major cities of the country: Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Krasnodar, Mineral Waters.
Tyurina recalled that when entering the UAE, passengers undergo rapid tests for coronavirus. A mandatory requirement is also COVID-19 insurance, which is issued automatically by Emirates.
“Only flights with Kazakhstan and Ukraine are allowed in the country. The main streams formed by Asian and Russian tourists are still isolated. Therefore, hoteliers are very waiting and want to work, the infrastructure is not loaded.”
