The Governor of the Krasnodar region Veniamin Kondratiev said that the tourist season in the resorts of the Krasnodar region will last until November 1, its extension will restore the resort industry, which suffered due to the pandemic.
Summer season 2020 in the Krasnodar region started only from June 21.
The resorts of the Krasnodar Territory were visited by 6.2 million tourists in the summer, 40% less than during the same time of the 2019 season. August was the peak: the loading of accommodation facilities reached 100%. Hotel occupancy is forecast at 90% in September.
Tour operators believe that there are prerequisites for a long season in Krasnodar resorts. First, there are many foreign alternatives. Secondly, the traditional seasonal price reduction will help.
Seasonality in the price policy of hotels remains, and rest in the Krasnodar region in October will be 20-25% cheaper than in the peak season.
Representatives of the tour operator "Intourist" give an example of the cost of a package tour: a week in Sochi with air travel, accommodation in a 3* hotel in the center (without food) for 7 nights with arrival on October 15 starts from 17,449 rubles for two.
