Tourism Corporation is discussing with investors the possibility of launching projects for the integrated development of tourist attractive territories, including in the South and Far East of Russia. This was told by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

“The corporation has been actively engaged. Discussions are already underway with investors on the terms and methods of implementing complex projects in the most popular direction - the South of Russia, as well as the Far East, in particular Kamchatka. The North is also considered as the Murmansk region.”

He added that there are proposals to create new tourist clusters in the central part of the country.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 17 at a press conference pointed to the importance of developing domestic tourism.

In December, Maya Lomidze, director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, said that, according to the expectations of tour operators, in 2021, about 40% of Russians will go on trips, despite the epidemiological situation.
