The first group of tourists from Russia arrived Iran under a visa-free regime and stayed overnight in the city of Babolser (Mazandaran province), located in northern Iran.
From August 1, Russia and Iran launched a visa-free group tourist exchange as part of an intergovernmental agreement. The first delegation from Iran arrived in Russia under the visa-free regime on September 21, representatives of travel agencies got acquainted with the tourist infrastructure of the North Caucasus.
“Foreign guests arrived ... today at Imam Khomeini airport in the capital, were welcomed by a delegation from the General Directorate of Tourism of Mazenderan and stayed overnight in Babolser,” Barzegar said.
