Tourist Card project to be launched in Russia for foreign travelers
In Russia, by the end of September 2023, the Tourist Map project will start.
The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation reports: "It is planned that in the III quarter of 2023 the project "Tourist Map" will be launched in a pilot mode, the corresponding work is now being carried out by the Ministry of Economic Development together with Rosfinmonitoring."
Thanks to this card, foreigners will be able to issue an electronic wallet with a virtual Mir card, and with its help it will be possible to pay for, for example, hotel accommodation and transfer. Arriving in Russia, the tourist will be able to get a plastic card or continue to use a virtual one.
