The Republic of Armenia has opened its borders: under what conditions is it possible to enter the country?

To visit Armenia, a foreigner needs a certificate of negative coronavirus test result, which was carried out no more than 72 hours before entry.
The certificate must be in Armenian, Russian, English and on the form with the contact details of the medical institution that conducted the examination.
When entering Armenia, non-contact thermometry is waiting for travelers, and in the case of COVID-19 clinical symptoms, an additional medical examination is required.
Persons without a certificate will take a PCR test for coronavirus at the airport or at a checkpoint on the land border, and must comply with self-isolation until a negative test result is obtained.
The opening of the borders took place after the extension of the national quarantine for another 6 months on January 11. The restrictions are valid until July 11, 2021. Since the beginning of 2021, about 300 new cases of coronavirus infection are detected daily in Armenia.
Regular flights between Armenia and Russia have not been officially restored, but cargo and passenger flights from Russia to Armenia are being carried out. From Moscow to Yerevan fly Aeroflot, S7 and Nordwind. "Victory" from Moscow carries out flights to Gyumri, from Rostov-on-Don "Azimut" flies to Yerevan, "Ural Airlines" - to Gyumri.
Despite the free sale of air tickets, flights are available to a limited number of travelers: citizens of Armenia, persons with dual citizenship and residence permits. Freight and passenger flights to Armenia are in demand, as there are strong humanitarian ties between Russia and Armenia. According to the Union of Armenians of Russia, about 2.5 million Armenians live in Russia.
Despite the opening of its borders by Armenia, there is no Russian tourist flow to this country in the absence of regular flights. From Russia to Armenia will continue to go mainly for personal purposes, for example, to visit relatives, experts say.
