Rospotrebnadzor allowed museums to receive tourist groups of tourists
Rospotrebnadzor lifted the ban on visiting museum-reserves by tourist groups.
On August 24, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation reported: In connection with the appeal of the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the stabilization of the epidemiological situation, Rospotrebnadzor made changes to the methodological recommendations for the work of museums, museums-reserves and palace and park museums to counter the spread of coronavirus infection. Museums and museums-reserves will be able to host tourist and excursion groups.
The department clarifies that the updated methodological recommendations allow the reception of excursion groups at the request of tourist organizations.
Olga Lyubimova, the head of the Russian Ministry of Culture, said: "Museums and museums-reserves play a crucial role for the tourism industry of our country, and the resumption of the reception of tourist and excursion groups will be another step towards the restoration of the usual life of cultural institutions."
She is confident that the first experience of working with visitors in compliance with security measures will help museums to organize work with travel companies.
