Sanatoriums of St. Petersburg are waiting for a high load for the New Year holidays
Sergey Korneev, Head of the City Committee for Tourism Development St. Petersburg The sanatorium and resort complex of St. Petersburg expects an increase in the number of tourists for the New Year holidays, since the restrictions imposed in cities due to the coronavirus will not affect this type of recreation.
“Cities continue to develop restrictive measures in view of the growing pandemic. If we talk about the sanatorium-resort complex, then the programs there are not associated with restrictions, so we hope that this component will be in demand during the New Year holidays and further in winter. The situation is changing every day and we will follow the forecasts.”
According to Korneev, the sanatorium-resort complex of St. Petersburg is the only large health cluster in the world, which is located in the northern latitudes.
He noted that treatment programs are available for residents of St. Petersburg and for guests from the regions.
About 12-15 thousand accommodation places in the sanatorium and resort complex have boarding houses with a medical license. They were the first to adopt the first safety standard developed by Rospotrebnadzor. Now there are 7,10,15-day programs for rehabilitation after covid in different profiles, for different natural factors, which include programs for oxygenation of the lungs, programs related to blood, etc.
