“Scenic Swimming” – a new format of river cruises is planned in Russia in 2021
In the 2021 season, the cruise company Mosturflot will present a new format of river travel – “scenic swimming” or “Mosturflot-Scenic”.
The usual route of the ship will change, and the liner will be as close as possible to the unique monuments of nature and history: “... the scene will serve as natural landscapes, and the actors will be legends, history, events and nature itself.”
This “stage voyage” will last for several hours almost every day: the ship will go slowly, and for passengers it is planned to “excursion from the water”.
Stage passes will be assigned during the best lighting of the show object. And it is not only sunlight, but sunset or white nights to convey the atmosphere captured on the canvases of famous artists.
“Stage” will create specially selected music, drinks, surprises from the company.
“We have redesigned the routes to show the sights that were previously almost invisible from the ship on other cruises or pass in the dark,” says Svetlana Goncharova, Deputy General Director for Tourism of Mosturflot.
“Scenic” cruises will be held according to the usual program for tourists with visits to cities, excursions, animation, etc. Stage swimming will be a bright element of the route.
Stage swimming is popular in Europe. For example, when traveling along the Rhine and Danube, the ship slowly goes along the vineyards in the famous regions.
The main advantage of cruises is the passage along reserves, of which there are many on Russian rivers - from the side of the liner you can see what is almost never seen from land.
Another unique moment is the historical reconstruction. In September, Mosturflot will present a route along Lake Ladoga associated with the “road of life”.
"Scenic" routes are planned in sailing to St. Petersburg and along the Volga. Full turnover - 12-14 days.
In the “scenic cruises” to St. Petersburg, the emphasis will be placed on the protected areas of Lake Onega or Ladoga: the “black” island of Memories, Cape Besov Nos with petroglyphs of the Neolithic period, the island of Myakisalo with the oldest settlement IItys. On “scenic” cruises along the Volga, tourists will be offered passages along the Volga Mountains and national parks and archaeological monuments in Tatarstan, along the Samara bow and the famous Zhigulev mountains.
