The head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova notes in his Telegram channel that the total number of tourists who rested from May to August in the Russian regions amounted to 25 million people, which is more than in 2021 and in pre-pandemic 2019.
Among the destinations for excursion city trips are St. Petersburg, Moscow and the Moscow region, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, historical cities of the Golden Ring and the Russian North.
According to Rosturizm, the sale of tours for autumn has increased by 2-3 times with the help of the tourist cashback program.
The autumn stage of the cashback program took place from August 25 to September 10. Russians bought tours and accommodation in hotels for 7 billion rubles, cashback - 1.5 billion.
