Thailand replaces mandatory 14-day quarantine for tourists
Authority Thailand Foreign tourists were offered excursion programs, which will be an alternative to forced stay in the hotel.
Tourists will be offered itineraries in some provinces of the country: safety will come first: guests of the country and the local population.
All hotels selected for the project must have a certificate confirming compliance with the established sanitary requirements.
Each tourist will wear a bracelet that allows them to track their location at any time. Responsibility for guests will take the host travel agencies.
Any deviation from the route or change of the program is fraught with quarantine with isolation.
Another task is to separate the flows of local residents and tourists to prevent the spread of infection.
The authorities of Phuket, Rayong, Chonburi, Surat Thani declare their readiness to accept tourists.
To enter Thailand, tourists must have a coronavirus test result - no older than 72 hours, a hotel voucher and a return ticket.
Experts believe that the alternative to the traditional quarantine will attract additional tourist flow to Thailand: rest with excursions, tastings, medical procedures, wellness massage can begin from the first day.
Foreigners can visit Thailand from October 15. To do this, they need tourist visas valid for up to 90 days and the possibility of extending to 270 days.
