Egypt makes visas free of charge

To support tourism in the current Egypt In the winter season, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Pyramid country approved the extension of several preferential programs for tourists.

Tourists arriving in the resorts of Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor and Aswan were exempted from paying visa fees until the end of the season - April 30, 2021.

Until the end of 2020, the provision of emergency aid to those working in the tourism industry will continue. The government has allowed hotels and other travel companies not to pay for utilities, including electricity and water, until December 31.

Egypt expects the return of Russian tourist flow to the resorts of Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh, and is ready to make further concessions. For the tourism business of both countries in the “cove” season 2020, the restoration of flights from Russia could be a salvation. The discovery of Egypt will help the survival of travel agencies, and the “saving” of airlines, for which there will be well-loaded routes.

In a recent interview with Daily News Egypt, Russian Ambassador to Egypt Georgy Borisenko said that the opening of direct charters to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh is really not far off. We hope to be able to resume these flights soon, but we cannot confirm a specific timeline for when that will happen.
