"Holland for his own." On the tulip fields by bicycle

Here is our long-awaited bike ride among the tulip fields. This is not even a walk, but a real trip, possible only once a year - from April 15 to May 5. Coming?

We will explore the endless flower fields! More picturesque and beautiful place in April-May is difficult to imagine. Along the way, we will take a lot of beautiful photos, talk about how tulips appeared in Holland, remember about tulip mania and the exciting adventures of traders in the XVII century, about the search for a black tulip.

We'll stop for a picnic on the farm - with freshly baked Dutch waffles and apple pie. However, to go after such a snack can be difficult :. But we will not go immediately - otherwise who will hug the local goats, deer and sheep?! Oh, and with the llamas, we will certainly meet. Do you want to have a picnic in the middle of the flowering fields? We will sit on a bench and chat with our feet in the midst of all this impossible beauty and magical fragrances. Just be sure to warn us about this in advance.

And all the time we will tell different interesting things - about flower auctions, about the Golden Age, about innovative, as if from science fiction films, farms and amazing environmental projects. How does the Netherlands rank second in the world after the United States in agricultural exports? Where in the heart of Dutch cities to find farms? How do they live in Dutch villages? And how to instantly transfer to the XVII century and see with your own eyes how everything was arranged there? What do shepherds do in the Netherlands, how to avoid the stress of forty and why export bees? We will!

But most importantly, we will be watching daffodils, tulips and hyacinths all day long. And how do the fields of flowering hyacinths smell!!! This year we have prepared a real surprise – a visit to the flower farm, which has been growing bulbs for more than 90 years and where a new variety of tulips was recently bred! Find out about the tricks and secrets of local flower growers: We will have a great opportunity to collect ourselves a bouquet. That's what your heart wants! We can even choose a favorite tulip in the field and arrange the delivery of bulbs of this variety in the autumn. And if you want to surprise loved ones, you can buy them a gift of tulip vodka.

Tulips, canals, mills, neat houses are indispensable attributes of the Dutch landscape. Finding everything at once is not an easy task. But we will definitely find ourselves in such a place and make classic shots of flower fields with a mill. Where without them?! And then we'll have lunch, just in Dutch. At the same time, we will talk about the local cuisine and amazing culinary traditions.

The duration of the route is about 40 kilometers. For anyone in the Netherlands, this is not a distance. If you are afraid, then you are afraid. We have more than twelve stops along the route. This means that every 15 to 25 minutes we will stop to see something interesting. But still, we ask you to evaluate your strengths reasonably.
