"Holland for its own": Texel. A day without time

Description:

On Texel there are dunes overgrown with grass and heather, fields of crazy-blooming tulips, daffodils and lavender. White important sheep, seals and horses grazing in the fog. And an incredible number of birds. Small villages with mills, carts with ice cream, horse-drawn carts, like scenery from a children's fairy tale. In the harbor there is a boardwalk, nets, old boats, shabby industrious boats. Bright red lighthouse. And the sea is northern, heavy, slowly rolling on almost white sand, rumbling deafly, but respectfully. Whether the sky reflects in it, or vice versa. And, perhaps, they are not separately, but there is one seanebo, in the middle of which a small island Texel is firmly held. There's no time here. It remained on the mainland with fuss, with plans for tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, with unthought-out thoughts and unspoken words about something important. Let him wait a while. We'll be back in a day or two. But for now, it's just the sea and the sky. And something else is very, very important.

We will visit with you in the dune reserve and in the salt marshes. We will see many rare birds, and if we are lucky, we will watch the mating games or the upbringing of offspring. Find endemic plants that are not found anywhere else in the world. Depending on the time of year, we can see the flowering of wild orchids, heather or tulips. Be sure to visit a shelter for marine animals, get acquainted with seals and seals and possibly participate in their feeding. Take a look at the aquarium with the Wadden Sea fauna, including sharks. We will visit a smart farm, where cows live almost independently. We go to a cheese factory or a smoker, a mill, a brewery or a winery - yes, in the middle of the North Sea they grow grapes and make very good wine, and the beer on the island is so simply great. We'll visit the llama farm and take pictures with the sheep. Depending on the day of the week, we can see the work of shepherd dogs, the production of cheese, wine or beer. And, of course, we'll all taste it. We can go to tropical greenhouses with huge butterflies and bright birds or to a small, but very cute ethnic museum. We will visit the capital of the island and walk through designer shops with all sorts of cute things or go to the fishing village. Or you want to visit the Maritime Museum with a luxurious layout of shipping routes of the XVII century and detailed copies of sailboats and port cities. We will walk along the stunning beauty of the beach to the lighthouse and the place where the film “Knocking to Heaven” was shot. Over the North Sea we will meet the sunset. And then we'll have dinner at a wonderful fish restaurant. We will try fish and seafood all day long. We can go out to sea to fish for shrimp. You just have to get up very early in this case.

Important! Given that each farmer has his own schedule, this program is conditional and depends on the season, day of the week, holidays, weather and, above all, your interests and time that you have on the island. This tour is possible by bicycle or car, for 1 or 2 days.

Of course, in 1 day we will see half as much. But this "less" is a real treasure!
