Monument to D'Artagnan

The monument to D’Artagnan is located in the Dutch city of Maastricht, in the park city area, near the University. A famous royal Musketeer, a Gasconic nobleman was killed in Maastricht in 1973 during a fierce battle. His burial place is not known, but it is assumed that he rests in the walls of the Church of St. Aopstoles Peter and Paul on the outskirts of Maastricht. The author of the sculpture is a Russian Dutchman - Alexander Taratynov.
The second monument to the Musketeer is located in the French city of Oche, where locals revere d’Artagnan for a countryman.
