Lisbon

Journey to the "Edge of the World" and to the "Devil's Hand"

Description:

For people in love with the ocean, its element and the beauty of nature - this tour.

For those who want to face the wind, taste the sea breeze. For tourists who do not like long journeys and prefer a budget excursion-walk, and want to get acquainted with the Lisbon Riviera. Let’s start with the iconic meta that has become a tourist mecca – with the “Edge of the World”, with Cape Rock, from the westernmost point of the Eurasian continent. If you stand facing the ocean, it is not difficult to imagine that all of Europe is behind you. By 10 o'clock, tourist buses are starting to come here. But if you arrive early, when the fog is still swirling over the ocean, when you are alone with the elements, the sensations will remain with you forever. The next stop is Ginshoo Beach, a favorite place for surfers. If there is no wind, then this is the best beach of the Riviera, with silky sand, with the noise of the surf. But, if at least a slight breeze, then it will not be possible to lie in place for a long time, you will simply be swept by sand. It is no coincidence that this beach is chosen by surfers. You can walk through the dunes here. Wooden paths are laid for walking, so as not to harm the natural park. Beaches, forts, towns along the way. Stop anywhere. So, with stops, we reach the Devil's Hand. If the weather is windy, the place is remembered. The ocean is beautiful in any weather, but when waves break out of the “mouth”, the elements foam and boil, it cuts into memory. Although the bowl there is no strong wind and the place is interesting with a picturesque view of the rocky coast, and a small bazaar where you can buy souvenirs at more affordable prices. We are in the city of Cascais, in its name and hear the noise and rustle of the surf. We go on a small tour of the city or to the museum. Cascais, once a fishing village, became a summer royal residence in the 19th century, and now a favorite holiday destination. The city has a historical center with narrow streets. There is an Art Museum – the House of History of Paula Rego and the Palace of Counts Castro Guimaraens. Keep going. In 5 minutes - the city of Estoril, known for its casino and beaches. Usually tourists get acquainted with the Lisbon Riviera from the windows of the bus, dreaming of "wetting the legs" in the ocean. During this tour you will have this opportunity. The tour is designed for 4-5 hours, so if you wish, you can have lunch in one of the restaurants on the ocean and, if you wish, spend the remaining time on the beach, choosing the one you like. And go back to Lisbon on your own. Have a good holiday with sunny weather! You're always welcome here. Excursions in Russian in Portugal Elena Nazaruk.
