Rua Augusta Street

Rua Augusta is one of the most beautiful and lively pedestrian streets in Lisbon. It can be compared to the Old Arbat of Moscow.

The street, the pavement of which is lined with white and blue mosaics, preserved the unique old architecture after the earthquake in 1755. On one side, the street overlooks the shopping area, and on the other - Rossio Square. There is also a beautiful triumphal arch with a clock.

The street is full of all kinds of shops, wandering artists, musicians and artists. Here you can meet the “man-statue”, buy jewelry and various souvenirs, and then relax in one of the cafes while the artist paints your portrait.
