National Ethnological Museum
Rua Luis Castanho de Almeida, Lisboa, Portugal
About the company:
The National Ethnological Museum, located in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, began its work as temporary exhibitions held in various galleries and exhibition centers of the country. It was opened in 1947, in a two-story building located in the Reshtelu district, a kilometer north of the Hieronymite monastery.
The museum expositions introduce visitors to the cultures of the world and the history of Portuguese colonies in South America, Africa, Southeast Asia and India. The collection of thematic exhibitions has more than 30 thousand exhibits, among which you can see national costumes, tools, household items, documents and photographs. Since 1959, temporary exhibitions have been held at the National Ethnological Museum.
