The Porto Calem Museum
Portugal, Vila Nova de Gaia 4400-111, Diogo Leite Street 26
About the company:
Porto Calem Museum is located in Portugal, on the territory of one of the oldest wineries in the country. The Porto Calem brand dates back to 1859, all this time producing port wines of the highest quality. The museum in Vila Nova de Gaia introduces tourists to the history of this famous production.
The exposition of the museum tells about the Douro region, where grapes for this port wine have been grown for centuries. Porto Calem owns a hundred hectares of sun-coated vineyards, where each cluster receives an ideal amount of light and moisture.
The museum guides will gladly take guests to the famous basements, where they will tell about the unique characteristics of each type of port wine. Also here you can taste different varieties of this noble drink or choose a wine in the local store to return home, enjoy its unique aroma and once again remember the days spent in Portugal.
