1 DAY. The first day is the race. Meeting of tourists in the morning at the airport or at the stations of the city of Barnaul, Gorno-Altaisk. Transfer by minibus to the camp located near the village of Edigan Chemal district (420 km from Barnaul, 150 km from Gorno-Altaisk). Steppes of the Altai Territory at the entrance to the Altai Republic give way to mountain landscapes. The road takes us south, winding along the right bank of Katun. Along the road, cherry and acacia bloom. On the way, you can stop at the source of Arjan-Suu, at the local souvenir market, dine in a cafe or dining room (at your own expense). In the evening, accommodation in wooden houses on the tourist base "AMADU". The camp is located on the banks of the Edigan mountain river, which is filled with melt waters in the spring and rushes joyfully to meet with Katunya. Not far from us are herds of semi-wild horses, foals jump cheerfully. You can climb around the neighborhood or make a foray into the village.

2 DAY. Instruction on safety and mountain bike management. The minimum, which will be useful to us during the day, put in shoulder backpacks, get on bicycles and leave the camp. We move along an abandoned country road down the Edigan River. The narrow valley of the river is clamped by mountains on all sides, we drive along local hayfields and pastures. When we reach the mouth of the river, we turn left. The whole road is sandy, does not erod even after heavy rains, without sharp ascents and descents, it is easy to drive along it. The landscape here is more severe and deserted, only rare trees were able to withstand the harsh winter winds that constantly blow along Katun. Huge boulder stones scattered across the valley remind us of the movement of glaciers thousands of years ago. The land here is not suitable for agriculture, the local population is mainly engaged in cattle breeding. We pass the village of Kuyus, zero kilometer column and after about 7 km we will reach the mouth of the Beltertyuk River. This small river, falling into Katun, forms a cascading waterfall. On the way, inspect petroglyphs - ancient rock paintings depicting hunting scenes, wild animals. We dine at the waterfall and move back, for an overnight stay in the houses on the campground. Day move 45km.

3 DAY. Our road again winds, squeezed between the river and the mountains. On the slopes of the mountains burns pink marallic (bagulnik). We're moving over Oroktoi Bridge. Under the bridge boils, clamped in the rocks, the threshold of Teldekpen-1. We drive along the left bank of Katun to the north. There is no transport here, on the old country road, often close to Katun, it is a pleasure to drive. On the way you can look at the threshold of Teldekpen-2. Near the mouth of the Kaspa River, in a quiet cozy place, we will arrange a lunch, after which we return to the base camp by the same road. Day crossing 35km. In the camp, we are again waiting for a bath and a delicious dinner. We are preparing for the next, horse-drawn part of the route.

4 DAY. Repeat the safety of riding, try the step, trot your horse. We throw things in the archemaks through the saddle and, on the way. Our road will pass by the village of Edigan up the river Edihta. Gradually, the birch grove gives way to a real cedar. Under the cedars you can find and snap last year's bumps. We move to the upper reaches of the Kush River, in the Itazhur tract. Around the taiga, in the gaps between the trees are far visible mountains, still covered with snow coats. We immediately warn - it is still cold at the top, snow lies in places, although spring primrose blooms are already blooming on the hazes. Here you can take photos of a real winter fairy tale, especially if it snows. From the place of our parking on the slope of the Kuminsky ridge, you can see the basin of the Chemal River - a huge area between two mountain ranges. Today we will try to get to the deaf current, next to which we will stop for the night. In the evening, when it begins to darken, deaf people will begin to fly, diving on the cedars standing around the glades. In the morning, the deaf current (wedding dances) will begin.

5 DAY. Forest path down the river Kush (bird) in the same tract. There are many deaf and grouse in the forest. After winter, tourists did not go here yet and did not have time to scare away the animals that calmed down during the winter. We'll probably meet a roe deer, see bear tracks. We'll stay overnight in an old hunting hut. Those who wish can go to the solon - wait and see the roe deer and marals. Photohunting continues.

6 DAY. Back to base camp through the Karatimos Pass. Going out to the river Edihta, we move down, back to the spring heat. We'll go to the bath this afternoon. The lower we go down, the more flowers - then there, then here there are clearings of snowdrops and primroses, Kandyk blooms everywhere, grass turns green. There she is, Spring!

7 DAY. We pack our things in drives, get in the cars and go to Katuni. A little not reaching the village of Kuyus unloaded on the shore. We put the court on alert, we tie things up. The captain usually carries a special camera. Instruction on safety on water. First, it's just the Shivers. We will take the time to coordinate our team. After the mouth of the Edigan River, we will go to the rapids of Teldekpen-1 and -2 (from the Altai "Rised Mountain") (III c.s.). The river cut its way into the rocks, forming a two-kilometer canyon with steep walls. The powerful turbulence of the flow with a chaotic pile of jets, funnels and water fungi is very impressive. After the mouth of the Biyka river, we will pass the Biykinsky threshold, after a few kilometers - the Yelandinsky threshold (III c.s.). Beyond the threshold begins the village of Jelanda. Here they were going to build a dam Katunskaya HPP, in the middle of the river stands, bristling with reinforcement, unfinished bridge. After 15 kilometers, having met a few more spiky rapids, we will stop for an overnight stay in tents on the left bank of Katun, away from civilization.

8 DAY. Keep rafting. Opposite the village of Chemal, we are waiting for the spiky threshold "Chemal trumpet", roaring between the Gate of Sartakpay. On the right for a moment, the turbines of the Chemal HPP will appear, attracting everyone’s attention with the rumble of falling water, and a little further on the island of Patmos in the middle of Katun we will see the chapel rebuilt. Today there will still be rapids "Elikmanarsky" and "Askatinsky", "Iradash". Our rafting ends near the village of Cheposh. Here we will be met by a car and taken back to the camp, where a bath, dinner and houses are waiting.

9 DAY. Departure to Gorno-Altaisk, Biysk and Barnaul by minibus (to Novosibirsk by bus). On the way, you can visit the museum of Altai culture in the village of Chemal (we recommend both us and tourists who visited there) and visit souvenir markets.

Note: Alloying takes place on rafts (and / or catamarans). In the case of large water due to possible flooding, the alloy will begin below the thresholds Teledepen-1 and -2.
