1 DAY. Meeting of tourists in Barnaul (Biysk, Gorno-Altaisk) at the airport and at railway stations. We gather with the whole group and go to the base camp, located near the village of Edigan, Chemal district (420 km). Steppes of the Altai Territory at the entrance to the Altai Republic give way to mountain landscapes. The road takes us south, winding along the right bank of Katun. Along the way, there are some decent places to have breakfast or lunch. At the request of the group, you can stop at the source of Arzhan-Suu (a famous spring with water rich in silver), at the local souvenir market to see (buy) products of local craftsmen, visit the museum of Altai culture. The camp is located near the village of Edigan, on the bank of the river of the same name. We take the time to explore the surrounding area. We are surrounded by mountains on all sides. We stay overnight (in tents), relax, prepare for the hike.

2 DAY. We put personal belongings, sleeping bags and products in archemaki. For fishing, you will need spinning and midges, they must be bought in advance. We leave extra things in our backpacks in the storage room at the base. Meet the horses, remember the safety. We begin the horse crossing up the Kainzara River. The country road leads us to the village of Edigan up. Lower pastures are replaced by haymaking and then pass into the real taiga. Horses constantly have to go up, so we move slowly. On the way, we will meet a maral garden in which marals are grown. For the night we stop behind the Alyos pass, at the origins of the river of the same name. Picturesque glades with juicy herbs surround cedars. From here you can hear the singing of birds and the sounds of forest animals.

3 DAY. We go down the winding path on the river Alyos. Little Sumult is ahead. The river is very cold, it is impossible to stand barefoot in it. Overnight at the mouth of the Tetleu River. You can already get a fishing rod and fish for the garius. This fish is considered the most delicate and tasty. Meat is easily separated from the spine, small bones are absent. If we are lucky, we will taste it today and give thanks.

4 DAY. We're wading Small Sumulta. The river is very fast, if the traveler gravitates and will not force the horse, it can be carried along with the horse downstream. We climb the taiga path from Small Sumulta up to the Cheptuyash Pass. After the forest storms, it is so pleasant to go out into the open space and admire the mountain expanses. We go down again, but now to the Great Sumult River. Fishermen fish.

5 DAY. We are moving upstream of the Great Sumult. Around - untrodden taiga, the path winds through the thicket, and we dodge hanging branches, push away from the trunks of trees to protect the knees and archemaks. After the revolution, freedom-loving local residents who disagreed with the Soviet authorities hid in these places for a long time. A parking lot near the mouth of the Kamga River. Fishing.

6 DAY. Fishing day.

7 DAY. We return to the camp by the same road (there may be another, but the trail there is difficult, on which hunters very rarely ride, so it is easier for us to return in our tracks). On the way, fish in the most favorite places. You can take some salted fish with you on the road. Horse crossing from the Sumulta River along the Alyos River to its upper reaches. Around the coniferous forest and alpine meadows.

8 DAY. We go down from Alyos on the country road to base camp. Bath, rest. Farewell bonfire.

9 DAY. Departure of the group to Barnaul, Biysk, Gorno-Altaisk. It is possible to leave by bus directly to Novosibirsk.
