Altai high-mountain lakes

1 DAY. Meeting of tourists in the city of Barnaul (Biysk, Gorno-Altaisk). We go to the village of Edigan Chemal district to the tourist base "AMADU". Meet the instructor. Stay overnight, rest, prepare for the hike. Here you can leave things that we don't need on the hike, in the storage room.

2 DAY. Equestrian crossing with Edigan - the top of Kush. Around the taiga. Walk the forest path higher and higher.

3 DAY. Horse crossing top Kush - river Chemal - river Kayas. We go down to the Chemal River and through the Chemalo-Cuban Ridge we go up to the Kajas River. The endless sea of taiga leaves us only on the ridge.

4 DAY. Horse crossing of the river Kayas - the river Cuba - the river Chetkir. We cross the river Cuba and go up to the river Chetkir.

5 DAY. Horse crossing of the river Chetkir - per. Bagatash - Karakol Lakes. We finally came out of the taiga and saw the basin of Karakol lakes! Going down to the Karakol Lakes.

6 DAY. Waking up near the Karakol Lakes, then we go to the Castles of the Mountain Spirits, through the Akkain Pass to the Akkain Lakes. Highlands give us a new view of the mountains.

7 DAY. We move to the Karakokshi cave and arrange a noon. The stream here sharply goes underground, then manifests itself as an underground river in the cave and again emerges out after a few hundred meters, forming a noisy waterfall. Those who wish can explore the cave.

8 DAY. We climb along one of the tributaries of the Karakoksha River to the Karakokshi lakes.

9 DAY. We're going to the Ski River basin. Upstairs we will be greeted by harsh rocky landscapes, snowy tongues on the slopes and dark mirrors of cold lakes far below. You can't see the trail up there, we're just winding between the stone placers in the right direction. A long descent along the lakes we saw from above will lead us to a quiet forest lake for an overnight stay.

10 DAYS. The taiga trail along the Ski River with several protracted ascents, with trunks of old trees lying across the path, will lead us to the large Lyzhinsky Lake. In the forest there are whole thickets of blueberries, which can be eaten until autumn.

11 DAY. We climb the Albagan Pass, from which the top of Albagan Mountain and Albagan Lakes are visible, and go down the Ijema River. From the trail you can hear two waterfalls at the foot of Albagan, which can be easily approached. Izhema merges with the Soygonosh river and we go to the right, towards our tourist base. Overnight in the woods by the stream.

12 DAY. Soigonos Pass. Excellent viewpoint. We pass into the Toguskol valley and come to the Toguskol lake family, the warmest of all that we met on the way. Swimming, resting, dining. For the night we go to the parking lot near the tributary of the Toguskol River.

13 DAY. We go through the Taman-Azu pass in the Kyzylgak tract and further down and down, to the long-awaited bath. We return to the Amadou camp near the village of Edigan.

14 DAY. In the morning, scheduled departure to Barnaul (Biysk, Gorno-Altaisk, etc.)
