I will tell you about the formation of the Petrovsky Sloboda, Swedish and Dutch influence, the Catherine era, the revolutionary upheavals and the great world wars of the 20th century. We will also get to know the beautiful, modern and rapidly developing Petrozavodsk.
What awaits you:
The total tour route is about ten kilometers, so I can spend it on a personal car, with exits and sightseeing.
If it's raining or there's a strong wind outside, I'll tell you most of the information in the car, and then I'll take pictures in the background of the objects.
The port of the five seas admires its architecture. Ancient pre-war buildings, houses with carved arches and stucco, interesting elements of the Soviet period.
We will visit the heart of the city – Round Square, built under Catherine II. We will see the house where the emperors stayed.
The embankment of Petrozavodsk is decorated with a monument to its founder - Peter the Great. We will see the churches of Petrozavodsk - the Holy Cross Cathedral and the Temple of Alexander Nevsky.
We will visit the Governor’s Park and see the Eternal Flame, framed by shungite and shoksha raspberry quartzite.
Also, if desired, we can stop at one of the branded souvenir shops of Petrozavodsk, for example, "Berry of Karelia" or "Shungit Center".
