Monument of Glory of Soldiers of the 2nd Guards Army

Monument of Glory of the Warriors of the 2nd Guards Army of Sevastopol is a unique architectural complex of four Abelisks and a large monument. There is an order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief with a message to the Fourth Ukrainian Front. The lines written on the monument remind of the courage of the soldiers who fought for their homeland, defended its blood and sweat.
The monument was opened on May 27, 1944. Nearby is a mass grave where the Heroes of the Soviet Union are buried.
The developer of the monument was a participant in the battles for Sevastopol Chankvetadze. Everything here is symbolic. The height is 19 meters 44 centimeters. As well as a text with gratitude to the soldiers for their courage, courage and disobedience to the enemies.
The memorial complex is located on the northern side of Sevastopol, Cape Cordon.
