47 Maha Chai, Khwaeng Wat Bowon Niwet, Khet Phra Nakhon, Bangkok, Thailand

Description:

In Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, in the historical part of the city, it is worth visiting a rather interesting object Fort Mahakan. This national ancient white monument with an octagonal tower about 4 meters high and rectangular jagged walls was built in the late XVIII century to defend Bangkok from the invaders of Burma. At one time there were 14 defensive forts, today there are two.

Fort Mahakan is amazingly beautiful in the evening, and around it there is a wonderful park overlooking the Ong Ang Canal.

To get to Fort Mahakan, you need to get to Ratchadamnoen Klang Avenue – the main historical road of Bangkok.
