Temple of the Emerald Buddha

Thanon Na Phra Lan Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon Bangkok 10200, Thailand

Description:

The Emerald Buddha Temple is worth visiting in Bangkok. It is located in Lampang and dates back to the 7th century. Built by the son of Queen Chamtyui. The 50-meter-high golden Chedi is impressive, with a few hairs from the Buddha’s head. There are seven Buddhas in the niches of the pagoda. The stylized viharn attracts attention. A white elephant statue with a small pavilion on its back is no accident. When the Emerald Buddha moved from one place to another, the elephant turned south. This was a sign that led to the creation of a new temple. The Museum of Culture, which is located on the territory of the temple, presents rare samples of porcelain and carved wooden products. A feature of the temple is a mixture of different architectural styles.

To visit the temple, you need to get to Lampang, and then walk to the historical center.
