Description:
The Lacquer Pavilion Garden is an ancient wooden pavilion located on the edge of a picturesque garden and is an exceptional example of Thai art. The pavilion is located on the territory of the Suan Pakkad Palace Museum. It is a small Thai house installed on wooden stilts, which is more than 450 years old.
Inside the Lacquer Pavilion, the walls are richly decorated with gilding and carving and covered with varnish. They depict scenes from the Hindu epic Ramayana and events from the life of the Buddha. The combination of black and gold lacquer produces a stunning effect. The lacquer pavilion is the main highlight of the Suan Pakkad Palace Museum.
