About the company:
Folklore Museum of Bangkok is located near the central post office on the right bank of the Chao Phraya. The museum is located in an old house built during the Second World War in 1937. The old building fascinates passers-by who can not resist visiting it. The museum was originally the home of the Surawaddy family.
Inside the museum building, the interior and all the items represent a scenario of the lifestyle of middle-class Bangkok citizens during World War II. The museum consists of two floors and a garden. The ground floor houses many relics of former family members that date back to the reign of King Rama V (1858-1910) and the Rattanakosin era.
The museum can be visited daily, except weekends, from 10 am to 5 pm. It is better to get there by taxi from BTS Chong Nonsi or MRT Sam Yan stations.
