The Museum of Rare Stones is a museum that houses the world’s richest collection of stones. It is located in the northern part of Bangkok. The exposition is mainly represented by stones found in Thailand (95%), the rest of the exhibits were brought from other countries.
The exhibition presents more than ten thousand unique, rare pieces of stones. Some of them resemble the shape of a human or an animal.
Conventionally, the stones in the museum can be divided into three main categories of locations: river stones, mountain stones, and stones found in caves.
Among the numerous exhibits you can see precious stones, fossils, mineral crystals, stalactites and other stone formations.
The museum also has an extensive collection of ashtrays.
