Mueang Boran Park Museum

About the company:

Mueang Boran was built by a Thai eccentric millionaire. He wanted to create a park that would feature a massively reduced variety of historical sites in Thailand. Monuments were located on its territory according to their geographical location, because it closely repeated the territory of Thailand.

Many dozens of historical sites and great attractions of Thailand have been faithfully copied, and lost or destroyed relics have been restored with the help of archaeologists and historians. Among the latter is the great throne room of Ayuttassa, which was destroyed in the 18th century during invasions.

In addition to replicas of historical buildings, many “mythological” figures and buildings of various periods of the history of Thailand were built in the park.

Many household buildings, such as the famous house built by King Rama V in order to live there as a “common Thai”, as well as just ordinary village houses where you can spin a handmade rice mill, stand in Mueang Boran along with historical buildings.

The park was opened in 1963 and continues to be built to this day.
