Tainan Airport
Description:
Tainan Airport is a commercial airport located in the southern district of Tainan.
The main service area of the airport is central Tainan, Tainan County and the northern part of Kaohsiung County. The airport serves both civil and military flights, so the airport terminal is geographically located far from the airfield.
For the convenience of passengers there is a special transfer. However, this neighborhood of civil and military aviation provides its disadvantages: during military training flights, sometimes canceled civilian flights.
Tainan Airport is the third busiest among domestic airports, ahead only of Taipei Sang Shan and Kaohsiung airports. However, the opening of the Taiwan High-Speed Railway in 2007 significantly reduced its passenger traffic.
