Temple of Augustine and Roma

Sar ba Sk 11-17, Hac Bayram Mh., 06030 Ankara, Turkey

Description:

In Turkey, specifically in Ankara, there is the Temple of Augustine and Roma. It is located near the Hajibayram temple. It was built during the reign of Augustus. Only the remains of the temple, the ruins of its walls, have survived to our time. But still, even on these ruins you can read about all the known deeds of the emperor, about his wills.
The temple has always been a Christian church.

All the ancient inscriptions on it are a valuable historical and cultural treasure, including all information about the reign of Augustus.

Also near the temple is Julian’s Column – another monument of architecture of that time.

Such monuments are enough in Istanbul, but in the rest of Turkey they are quite rare.

The temple is located in Turkey, Ankara, Hac Bayram Mh., 06030.
